From the donation of a van to Tŷ Hafan, and teddy bears and activity books to Rays of Sunshine, to fundraising activities including steps challenges and sales, here’s news of 10 great corporate partnerships.

Tŷ Hafan & Mercedes-Benz Vans

Tŷ Hafan has received a new and strikingly liveried Vito crew van from its local Mercedes-Benz Vans dealer. A compact L1 Vito 119 CDI Premium model, the van is the subject of a new sponsorship agreement with Euro Commercials, which singled out the charity for its backing this year. The charity will use the Vito to support its Stay & Play days initiative. This provides families with opportunities to access a range of sensory and creative play, music and complementary therapy. Historically, Stay & Play sessions have been delivered at the charity’s children’s hospice in the village of Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, and at an outreach base in Gwent. The charity will take some of its sensory play equipment and a team of specialist practitioners out and about to community centres across Wales.


Mind & setyourworth.com

New job hub, setyourworth.com, which launched this summer to allow people to set their own worth, including their own salary, has announced it is supporting mental health charity Mind, donating 10% of all UK sign up revenue.


Hymans Robertson Foundation & charity partners

The Hymans Robertson Foundation’s fifth birthday this year will be marked with it offering an additional series of grants totalling £45,000. Five awards of £5,000 will be given to the Foundation’s smaller charity partners – FARE Scotland, SportInspired, TLG – Transforming lives for good, Works + and MyBnk. Each charity will be able to allocate this grant to meet their individual charity’s needs. In recognition of the firm’s local charity partnerships, which are managed by teams of volunteers within each Hymans Robertson office, an additional £20,000 has also been allocated to be distributed to local charity partners.


Rays of Sunshine & Mrs Wordsmith

Mrs Wordsmith supported Rays of Sunshine in its campaign launched in aid of National Teddy Bear Day, which took place on 9 September. Young patients currently being treated in hospitals across the UK received a teddy bear kit along with activity books from kids’ books and games brand Mrs Wordsmith. The kits aimed to provide an escape from their day-to-day treatment, and an opportunity to take part in a community event from their own beds. 


Over The Wall & English Provender Company

English Provender Company is partnering with Over The Wall to help raise awareness of its residential camps for children with serious illness, through the distribution of Newman’s Own food products. As a manufacturer of condiments, chutneys, dressings and sauces, English Provender Company is the licensed UK producer and distributor of Newman’s Own food products. It now plans to raise awareness of Over The Wall by featuring it on the labels of all Newman’s Own bottles, reaching around 600k homes in the UK every year. 


Stockport & District Mind

Employees at Contra Vision, a Stockport-based perforated window film manufacturer, recently took part in a challenge to do 1 million steps during July to raise money for their Charity of the Year for 2021, Stockport & District Mind. By the end of the month, the employees had exceeded the initial target and did a total of 4,266,212 steps. They have also raised £631 for the independent mental health charity, although the fundraiser is still open for those who wish to donate to the fundraiser. Stockport Mind, which is affiliated with Manchester Mind, was chosen as Contra Vision’s Charity of the Year due to the global events of the past year with Contra Vision wishing to support a local charity that does not get as much attention or donations.


Farms for City Children & BMO

Bank of Montreal’s BMO Capital Markets team in London has raised £13,500 to subsidise a residential trip for their local primary school at Farms for City Children’s Gloucestershire farm this autumn. BMO embarked on an ambitious month of fundraising with staff across the business contributing to running, walking and cycling 424 miles, the distance from their London office, to the charity’s bases in Gloucestershire and Devon, and back to the office again. Several teams competed to cover the most distance and to raise the most sponsorship. After a month the teams had covered 8,000 miles with BMO’s staff, clients and suppliers raising £13,500 for the school.


Shelter & Societe Generale

Societe Generale has announced a three-year fundraising charity partnership with Shelter to support the GROW (Getting Real Opportunities of Work) traineeship programme. This staff-selected strategic charity partnership is an integral part of Societe Generale’s corporate social responsibility programme across the UK. Societe Generale will fund fifteen 12-month paid work placements for people who have overcome homelessness, and now want to help others to do the same. Through mentoring and specialist housing advice, these trainees will help other homeless people to rebuild their own lives. Societe Generale’s fundraising and support will expand the GROW programme, which to date has successfully supported 60 traineeships, with more than 90% of participants having moved onto further employment or education. 


Alex’s Wish & Pure Table Top

Pure Table Top, a Leicestershire-based specialist supplier of ceramics and glass has completed its latest charity fundraiser supporting Alex’s Wish. The challenge brought in a total of £4,524.58.  Other fundraising events have included running sample sales throughout July, which raised over £1,000. 


RNLI & Kärcher UK

Kärcher UK has partnered with the RNLI, and will be supplying cleaning equipment to every one of the charity’s 238 lifeboat stations.
