Friday, we heard from a family on the other side, torn over whether to donate the organs of a loved one who was not on the registry.
The Semans family said agreeing to donate their loved one’s liver was the right thing to do – but it was a challenging decision. They said, had she been a registered donor, it would have been much easier on the family.
Last year, complications from Type 1 Diabetes cut Heather Semans’ life short at the age of 36.
