UC Health, which performed its first heart transplant this year and a record number of organ transplants in 2015, commemorates the opening of Donate Life Month at 1 p.m. Friday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Organ donors and recipients, including David Waits, who received a heart Feb. 2 through UC Health, will help the hospital system raise a flag over the Corryville facility to encourage organ donation. Tenor Brandon Russell and bass-baritone Christian Pursell of the Cincinnati Opera will perform, accompanied by pianist Matthew Umphreys. Continue reading
