Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville and the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance are holding an organ donation walk this weekend.
The “Donate Life Texas Walk” will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the BrownsvilleSportsPark, 1000 Sports Park Blvd.
The event is designed to raise awareness on behalf of more than 13,000 people in Texas who are on a waiting list for a life-saving organ transplant.

This afternoon, the hospital will pay tribute to Rio GrandeValley residents and others who have donated organs and tissue with the “Wall of Heroes” ceremony that will take place at 1 p.m. in the Tower Conference Room.
