Is the most important element of your fundraising website concealed?
It might be, if you're not following these principle from The Daily Egg at 6 Characteristics of High-Converting CTA Buttons:
- They are buttons. Not clever metaphors. Buttons.
- They have compelling copy. They have verbs on them.
- They have logical placement. They are placed where they'll be seen -- which mainly means they're not tucked up in the upper right corner of a page.
- They use a contrasting color. Not blend-in brand-compliant colors.
- They have close proximity to the previous action.
- They aren't forced to compete with unrelated actions.
When I audit nonprofit websites, I frequently find that low-performing ones are "hiding" their calls to action buttons.
It's an easy fix that will improve your online revenue.
