The Creative Shootout is seeking nominations from UK charities supporting the young or elderly through the cost of living crisis to be its Charity Of The Year 2023.
The Dragon’s Den meets Great British Bake Off style competition sees agencies from the UK creative industry battle it out, live on stage, presenting a campaign they were briefed on by the Charity Of the Year only four hours earlier, and presenting it in just 8 minutes each.
The winning agency then goes on to stage the campaign for the charity later in the year. Previous charities have included UNICEF, Time to Change, FareShare, A Plastic Planet and Crisis, with 2020 seeing Epoch win with its answer to a brief from Crisis.
Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout said:
“Over the years we’ve had some major causes recognised through The Creative Shootout. And right now, the cost of living crisis is having a devastating impact on both the young and elderly. So, we hope charities of all sizes and sectors will apply, whether they help with community programmes, access to mental health support, initiatives to heat homes, the provision of fresh food, meals, hygiene products or transport – the list goes on. To nominate your charity, all we need is 223 words on why creativity will be important to your charity in 2023”
Eight creative agencies will be selected later in the year by a judging panel and put forward to The Creative Shootout Live Final, which will be held on Thursday 26 January 2023 at the Picturehouse Central in London.
To nominate, charities just need to email up to 223 words on why creativity will be important to their charity in 2023 to hello@creativeshootout.com by the close of 1 July 2022.
