A new way to register to be an organ donor will make its debut at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days: Swipe to Donate Life.
The tool, launched by the state of Wisconsin and Donate Life Wisconsin, scans a driver's license and transfers information to the state's organ donor registry, at donatelifewisconsin.org. The person enters an email address, agrees to a consent statement and hits submit, a process that takes less than a minute.
The technology, developed by Colorado-based Countermind LLC, works with iPhones and iPads, and soon will work with Android devices. Continue reading
