Dragon boating club says thanks to organ donors

GOOD CAUSE: Members of the Mackay Dragon Boat Club with their new shirts.

DRAGON BOATING: Mackay Dragon Boat Club member Jenny Scott donated a kidney to her daughter almost five years ago.

This is the reason she felt so strongly about her club's involvement in National DonateLife Thank You Day.

Held on Sunday, the day is to acknowledge organ and tissue donors and families that agreed to donations.

Scott said she did not think twice about helping her daughter, Samantha Scott-Girgenti.
