Both members and non-members of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising can apply for its bursaries for this year’s Fundraising Convention.

The bursaries are to help fundraisers develop their skills and experience by attending the Convention, and are aimed at those who would otherwise be unable to go.

The Chartered Institute of Fundraising will particularly welcome applications from anyone who identifies as one or more of the following:

  • Black, Asian or from a Minoritised Ethnic background
  • LGBT+
  • Having a disability

It also welcomes applications from:

  • Small charities (Anyone who works for a charity with an annual income of £500,000 or less, as per latest accounts from the Charity Commission)
  • Out of work fundraisers (Anyone who has been made redundant or lost their job in fundraising in the last six months)

The bursaries are available through the CIoF and its volunteer-led groups, with anyone volunteering or in paid employment with an arts or culture focused organisation invited to apply for a bursary specifically via its Raise Programme.

Applications close at midday on 30 July, with all applicants to be notified of the outcome of their application by 10 September.

This year’s Fundraising Convention takes place from 27-29 September, instead of its usual July dates, and will once again be online.
