Eric Michael Aofia was always a generous person.
It's one of the traits that made his wife, Mandy Aofia, fall in love with him.
"He would give the shirt off his back to anybody," she said. "Anybody who knew him instantly loved him as soon as they met him. He was always giving, even after his life was over."
Eric Aofia, 29, died on Aug. 30, 2015, from his injuries after he reportedly crashed into a semitrailer.
Through his death, five families are enjoying the holiday season when things could have been drastically different.
