From the Marketoonist, decision paralysis.
Most of the time, it's worth your while to spend a little more time thinking through your strategy, or to go through something you've written with another draft to make it even better.
That's most of the time.
Not now.
Right now, things are moving at abnormal speed. What's true on Tuesday is slightly off on Thursday. Anything you say (especially in something slow like direct mail) will be at least a bit wrong by the time people read it.
Really, that can happen any time. Now, it's almost guaranteed to happen.
Don't go for perfect. You won't attain it.
You'll just end up going nowhere.
At every decision point in every project, choose the faster route. The get-it-out-the-door choice.
Just do it. Do your best, but do it.
