The transplant program began in 2001. Now 15 years later, a 48-year-old father of two, has become the 200th person to receive a heart transplant at Strong Memorial Hospital.
For Stephen Waite, Jr. it's a feeling like no other.
"I feel like a new man,” said Waite.
Just a few weeks out from his transplant he's preparing to go home.
