CMRF, the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Dublin, has won the top award in the 2016 Fundraising Ireland Excellence in Fundraising Awards.

The CMRF campaign asked people to give something up for Lent in 2015 and grossed €327,000 and net €265,000. The campaign was a mixture of traditional advertising and innovative use of online.

Other awards from Fundraising Ireland included:

  •   Best Use of Direct Marketing for Merchants Quay Ireland – Give Back What Homelessness Takes and Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services – Hugh’s Hospice Appeal
  •   Best Use of Digital in Fundraising for Trócaire – Trócaire’s Lent Campaign
  •   Best Use of Events for Jigsaw Galway – Bradley Renault Giro D’Galway
  •   Best Use of Legacy Fundraising for Dogs Trust – Dogs Trust Legacy Development Campaign
  •   Best CSR Programme – Lidl Ireland
  •   Best Corporate Charity Partnership for PeterMarkathon – Peter Mark & Aware
  •   Supplier of the Year – Hibernia Evros
  •   Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year ISPCC Childline – Mary Dunne and Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services — Gerry McDonagh
  •   Fundraising Team of the Year – Dogs Trust
  •   Professional Fundraiser of the Year – Mary O’Donovan – Focus Ireland
  •   Best Emerging Fundraiser – Barnardos – Sharon Coakley
  •   People’s Choice Award –  Applegreen & CMRF Partnership

 

 

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland the Institute of Fundraising presented its awards for 2016. The winners were:

  • Fundraising Event – Up the Lagan in a Bubble – Cancer Focus
  • Fundraising Partnership – Cancer Research UK and Citi Group Belfast
  • Fundraising Volunteer – Dermot Breen, Cancer Research UK
  • Fundraising Team – Mencap
