Tom Muldoon has spent most of his life fighting his own body.
But in August, the 18-year-heart transplant survivor will be fighting his body’s limits instead.
The 65-year-old Brockville man has faced more adversity than most in a lifetime. He lost an 18-month-old son; his brother died in his arms; he lost his father to the same heart disease with which he struggled. He has suffered three heart attacks, four open-heart surgeries, a bout with cancer, and is learning now he has potentially failing kidneys. Despite the tragedy and hardships, he has never let anything stop him from being active and living life to the fullest.
And now, he has the opportunity to showcase his zest for life by competing in the upcoming Canadian Transplant Games in Toronto. Continue reading
