Voting in The National Lottery Awards is now open, with shortlisted entries in seven categories to choose from.
Voting is open until 20th July, and as well as appearing on national television, winners will receive £3,000 for their project. The categories are: Arts, Education, Environment, Heritage, Health, Sport and Voluntary/Charity.
This year’s shortlisted projects include: The Kittiwake Cam on the Gateshead and Newcastle Quayside, the Lung Ha Theatre Company, which works with performers with learning disabilities, Cornwall’s Sea Sanctuary, and the Foyle First Responders.
Now in their thirteenth year, the awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery funded projects. National Lottery funded projects are invited to enter the Awards, and individuals can also nominate Lottery funded projects. An independent judging panel selects up to 10 projects per Awards category to go through to a final round of public voting.
Voting takes place online at http://ift.tt/1kBd0ng.
Projects can find more information on how to apply for Lottery funding on the Big Lottery Fund site.
