AVI-8 Watches & Royal British Legion

After the success of the AVI-8 x Royal British Legion partnership, launched in May 2021AVI-8 Watches have announced the launch of two new timepieces produced in line with Remembrance Sunday, to support and commemorate this charity in its centennial year. Both the Flyboy Royal British Legion Founder’s Chronograph and Flyboy Royal British Legion Chairman’s Meca-Quartz are limited to 1,000 pieces, and each watch sold will contribute to the charity and support those who serve and have served in the British Armed Forces and their families. All watches from this partnership shall be presented with an exclusive RBL 2021 dated poppy label pin, an enduring symbol of support for our Armed Forces both past and present. Available on the AVI-8 site, with a RRP of £125 – £225.

Purple socks for BAM

To mark the annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) on 3 December, social enterprise Parallel Lifestyle has teamed up with sustainable activewear brand, BAM, and enterprise support charity, Hatch Enterprise. The aim is to encourage businesses and the public to buy and wear a pair of Parallel’s Purple Socks to shine a light on the challenges faced by D/deaf and disabled entrepreneurs in the UK and to help them thrive. Using this year’s IDPD as a platform, the inaugural Purple Sock Day will engage businesses and the public to take part in a simple and effortless act of wearing Parallel designed purple socks by BAM, which will retail at £5. 


Crime fiction anthology for POhWER

A book featuring short stories by crime writers is driving donations for POhWER, thanks to the support and connections of one of the charity’s Patrons – author and screenwriter, Samantha Lee Howe. The anthology, called Criminal Pursuits published by Telos Publishing is available online and in bookstores. Alongside Howe, Criminal Pursuits contains the work of thirteen other crime, science fiction, horror or thriller writers. These include Bryony Pearce, Paul Magrs, Sandra Murphy, Maxim Jakubowski, Sally Spedding, Caroline England, Awais Khan, Raven Dane, Amy Myers, A. A. Chaudhuri, Rhys Hughes, Christine Poulson, and Paul Finch.


Next range for Parkinson’s UK

Next, in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, has launched an exclusive range of home accessories and kids’ t-shirts featuring designs by artist Alex Echo (pictured) who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s two years ago. 100% of the profits from the range go to the charity to fund Parkinson’s services. Echo has been creating art for four decades and has seen his work exhibited in some of the world’s most prestigious art galleries. His bold and uplifting designs feature on a cushion and unisex kids’ t-shirts based on the concept of ‘share the love.’ He has also painted one of his signature rabbit sculptures, naming it after the founder of Parkinson’s UK, Mali Jenkins. The sculpture is being sold by Castle Fine Art, with 10% of the profits from the sale of the piece going to the charity.


Thortful card collection for World Mental Health Day

Health campaigner Bryony Gordon crafted an exclusive card collection for thortful.com to mark World Mental Health Day on 10 October. The collection, called Affirmation gives 100% of its profits to the Community Programme by Bryony; Mental Health Mates.  The affirmation cards collection is available exclusively at thortful. The cards include a QR code on the back, to scan to find out more about the partnership and tips to improve mental wellbeing. Throughout October, thortful will also be supporting both Mental Health Mates and the Better Health – Every Mind Matters campaign.


Toast Ale’s Companion Series for Rainforest Trust UK & Soil Heroes

Toast Ale’s new Companion Series is a limited-edition collection of 26 beers from 25 breweries in the UK and Ireland, all brewed with surplus bread.  £26 from every box will be invested into conservation and regenerative agriculture projects by two non-profits – Rainforest Trust UK and Soil Heroes. £13 will protect 1,300 trees in threatened tropical rainforests with Rainforest Trust UK, and £13 will capture 144kg CO2 by improving the health of soils on UK farms with Soil Heroes.


Anthology Brewing Company beer & TransLeeds

Leeds-based Anthology Brewing Company has come up with The Importance of Adding Kiwi. The beer is a 4.5% cucumber and kiwi sour, and £10 from every keg sold is going to TransLeeds.

Finisterre clothing for RNLI

Finisterre launched a limited edition co-branded clothing collection with RNLI last month, of which, 10% of every sale from the range is donated to the charity. As part of the collaboration, Finisterre has also shared the land-to-sea stories of four crew members, telling the stories of seemingly ordinary people doing extraordinary things through an episode of its ‘Hell or High Water’ podcast. Crew members Mali Parry-Jones, Emily Hague, Josh Owens and Peter Doyle each come from different backgrounds and day jobs, but all are on-call to save lives in different corners of the UK.
