Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) is launching a recruitment drive this month following a recent organisational restructure, which includes the creation of a new fundraising directorate.

Completed at the end of September, the restructure was carried out to support the charity’s new five-year strategy. The fundraising directorate will have a headcount of around 130, and will bring into one team all areas of fundraising to support the charity’s drive for significant income growth. The charity has also created a new marketing and communications directorate, bringing brand, digital and communications together into a single team.

GOSH Charity plans to advertise for more than 60 positions over the next three months, around 50 of which will be for jobs in fundraising. These will include roles in the innovation, philanthropy, partnerships and special events teams as well as committed giving, legacy & donor development, data, mass participation and community teams. Other available positions are in finance and resources, as well as several in the new marketing and communications directorate.

Liz Tait, GOSH Charity’s Director of Fundraising said:

At GOSH Charity, our mission to support seriously ill children and their families from across the UK has never been more important. Our new fundraising strategy has ambitious targets, which will include the largest capital build project we have ever undertaken.

When appointed, the Director of Marketing and Communications will join the senior leadership team, which currently comprises CEO Louise Parkes, Fundraising Director Liz Tait, Director of Grants and Impact Kiki Syrad and Director of Finance and Resources Bill Cunningham. Tait joined in 2020, in what was a new role for GOSH Charity at the time.

The charity also recently launched a hybrid working framework, which offers staff the option of working from home two to three days a week.
