Jason Wynia needed a heart transplant may of 2008. After having breathing troubles, doctors found Wynia's heart working at 10%, while the normal heart works at 65%. After heart surgery, doctors installed a heart pump to keep him alive until a transplant become available. Wynia says he went through a sea of emotions during his heart transplant.

"When you're going through the transplant process it can get pretty nerve racking, finding out you may have a donor and then the letdown of something didn't work out. Feeling ecstatic when you know you're going to get the transplant and that your life can get back to normal. On the flip side, though, knowing that someone's loved one has passed to give you a second chance", Jason Wynia said. Continue reading
