Corey Smith, 27, died from injuries sustained in a two-car crash on the Port Vincent Highway at Coobowie on Sunday, January 31.
COREY Smith has given the ultimate gift of life in death through organ donorship and his heartbroken mother says she will ensure his memory continues to live.
The father of two, 27, died in Royal Adelaide Hospital on Monday after being involved in a two-car collision on the St Vincent Highway, near Coobowie, about 3.15am on Sunday.
The other driver, 22, of the Adelaide Hills, suffered a non-life threatening head laceration and was treated at Yorketown Hospital.
Corey, of Minlaton on Yorke Peninsula, will not hold his children Riley, 5, and Kelsey, to turn 4 this month, again.
But his mother, Vicki Smith, is determined to keep Corey’s memory alive for his children, his two older brothers and younger sister and the legion of friends he brought to the family home.
Vicki has donated Corey’s organs to give life to others he never met. His heart has already been allocated to a person in need, Vicki said. One way her son will continue to live. Continue reading
