In perhaps one of the most unlikely Red Nose Day collaborations, Ed Sheeran has teamed up with Kurupt FM, stars of BBC3’s People Just Do Nothing. The comic turn sees Kurupt FM’s underwhelmed response to hearing they are to work with Sheeran on a song, mistakenly calling him Ed Shearer, and purportedly having no idea who he is when he turns up at MC Grindah and DJ Beats’ drum and bass pirate radio station. The mockumentary of their introduction thanks to Brentford entrepreneur Chabuddy G has been viewed almost 300,000 times on Youtube so far, and the resulting single will be unveiled on this Friday’s Red Nose Day. In other Comic Relief musical news, Red Nose Day will also see 100 ukulele players flashmob the public near London Liverpool Street Station to raise funds for the event. At 6.30pm on the 24th March, the merry band will play Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life, led by one-man-band and ukulele player Jake Rodrigues and assisted by players from London's Duke of Uke ukelele store, following along on giant chord sheets, to enable anyone else with a ukulele to join in. The event has been organised by owner of the Duke of Uke, Matthew Reynolds. https://twitter.com/DukeofUkeLondon/status/843156519604621312
