Charity Shop Fashion Week runs this week, from 13-17 June – a social media campaign showing the best in sustainable fashion.

It follows London Fashion Week and capitalises on the recent high profile Love Island move to preloved wardrobes.

Charity Shop Fashion Week has been created by the Charity Retail Association, in conjunction with The Charity Shop Gift Card and Sustainable Fashion Week, and aims to show that by sourcing outfits from charity shops it is possible to be on-trend, unique, stylish and creative – as well as benefitting society and the environment.

Charity shops from across the UK have sent in their curated outfits, styled by staff, volunteers and customers highlighting sustainable fashion at its best. Frequent social media posts across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the #CSFW hashtag will appear throughout the week presenting these outfits and the charities that put them together.

Susan Meredith, Deputy Chief Executive at the Charity Retail Association said:

“Preloved style and reuse is higher profile than ever and if any sector can excel in this area, it’s charity shops – so we are celebrating that and hopefully converting more of the public to sustainable fashion at the same time. We want sustainability to be the first choice for shoppers.”

Each hour from 9am this week a new outfit submitted by a Charity Retail Association member is being featured on its social media channels. Other charities can still take part by liking, sharing, following, tagging, and challenging themselves to replicate these outfits and reposting them, using the hashtag #CSFW. They can also post their best outfits in a ‘fashion week’ style, using the hashtag #CSFW so the Association can find and share the posts.
