The Endos’ first brush with the cause that they came to champion was in 1981, when their baby, Andy, died. In their grief they decided to honor their child by donating his organs so other children could live.
As karma would have it, Pam Endo needed to depend on the generosity of organ donors in 2005, when she received a new lease on life with a kidney and pancreas transplant.
The Endos promote the cause by visiting city council meetings and other agencies during Donate Life Month in April.
And, as is their usual routine in December, they helped decorate the Donate Life float for this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Continue reading
