Irish universities are in line for a major windfall from Atlantic Philanthropies (AP) as it winds down its giving in Ireland.
Trinity College in Dublin will get the first of a series of parting gifts to Irish universities for its Institute of Neuroscience, according to the Irish Times. AP has already provided €13 million to establish the Institute.
The Irish Times says other universities will also receive big donations to add to the significant support they’ve already received .
AP has given Trinity College $160 million since the 1980s, University of Limerick $178 million and Queens University in Belfast $131 million. Other Irish universities have also received big grants.
Atlantic Philanthropies said it will allocate its last grants next year.
