Las Colinas Medical Center was chosen among many hospitals nationwide and offered the opportunity to honor organ, tissue, and eye donors by joining in a Donate Life America/Donate Life Texas Program sponsored by Transplant Services Center, UTSW, Tissue and Eye Bank and Southwest Transplant Alliance, Organ Bank.
A message stating that Las Colinas Medical Center supports organ, tissue, and eye donation is attached to a rose vial that will be placed on the 2016 Donate Life Float in the Tournament of Roses Parade held in Pasadena California on Jan. 1, 2016. In this way, Las Colinas honors the patients and families who, with the support of our hospital staff, have saved and improved lives through the gifts of corneas, tissues and organs. Cornea, tissue and organ donation provides comfort to donor families dealing with their grief and offers medical care benefiting those in need through transplantation in our community. Story source
