Grandfather of high school football player who died receives his kidney

The family of Cam’ron Matthews, the football player who collapsed during a high school football game and later died, say that their son is saving lives even now.

According to KLTV, Matthews was an organ donor, and one of the people his organs are going to help is his grandfather, who has received a kidney from him.

“God also is using Cam’ron to help save people spiritually,” a statement from Matthews’ family said. “The number of lives he has touched is ongoing. Being an organ donor allowed his family more time to say goodbye to their son.”

“Cam’ron will live on in the lives of others, spiritually and physically,” the statement continued. “This selfless gift that he gave others was how Cam’ron lived his live.” Continue reading
