The sister of a young footballer who died after collapsing at a training session has revealed he "saved two people's lives" by donating some of his organs.
Kieran McDade suffered a cardiac arrest during a warm-up at Dunbeth Park in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, last Thursday.
His parents have spoken of their grief at the loss of their "lovely son" and have also thanked his friends and teachers for their support.
Thousands of pounds have been raised for his family through a fundraiser organised by his local club, along with messages of sympathy and support from across the country.
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths said he would be meeting Celtic fan Kieran's family prior to the team's SPFL match against Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon.
During the match, he paid tribute to Kieran by holding up a strip bearing the 13-year-old's name after scoring a goal. Continue reading
