The unprecedented surge in donors on the organ register is a magnificent tribute to the parents of a child who lasted only 100 minutes but bequeathed the gift of life to others.
Teddy’s mother and father have every right to be proud of his legacy and people he’ll never know will be owe him their gratitude for ever.
The Figures
- 526,712 number of people who signed up to NHS Organ Donor Register for the first time between April and August 2015.
- 414,426 number who signed up between April and August 2014.
- 112,286 increase in the number of people signing up over five months year on year.
