Charity Excellence is offering the opportunity for anyone who may want it to have its funder database on their own site.
The Funding Finder database enables charities to find free national/regional funding databases. It provides free clickthrough access to hundreds of funding databases and online funder lists, and is updated weekly.
To have the database on your own site, there are no costs for nonprofits, and it just requires adding two buttons, linked to URLs.
Charity Excellence also has some suggested wording to go with it, which can be amended to suit, and a logo can be requested via email.
More information can be found on the Charity Excellence site.
Charity Excellence’s Ian McLintock explained:
“There are surprisingly large number of infrastructure bodies, although many are very small. A number have their own funder databases or online funding lists, as do some councils, grant makers and even private companies. A few are paid for, but most free.
“That’s really helpful, but far too many people simply don’t know about these, so Funding Finder finds them automatically, as part of its search reporting, and then sends users to them. I don’t compete with anyone, so that includes everyone, such as the DSC and My Funding Central. It has about 400 Funding Finder links, including to some very powerful global databases, with about 200 UK ones.
“My latest idea is simply an extension to that. Anyone that can’t afford their own fundraising database can have a free one and those that do, will have even more users driven to theirs. Everyone benefits.”
