Would you donate an organ to save a total stranger's life? Hopefully after you see this story, you think about it. 10News This Morning anchor Allison Kropff introduces you to a Tampa woman who is in desperate need of a kidney.

Arlene DiBenigno has spent the last 4 years, waiting.

“I'm just scared. I'll be honest. You know, it's the fear. I have a beautiful daughter, it's just hard. Some days are better than others.”

This isn't one of those days. On this day, even sitting on the couch for an interview was exhausting. But she's doing it because the need is great.

“I need a kidney. I need a kidney.”

Arlene has had nephritis since she was 1 1/2, but in 2013 it became extremely serious. Now at 45, Her kidneys have continued to deteriorate. Continue reading
