At age 23, Repp is the survivor of a kidney transplant, one that saved his life when he was 14 years old, allowing him to stay active and compete in sports at Gibsonburg High School.
That second chance almost a decade ago inspired Repp to continue staying active beyond his high school days as he competes every two years in the Transplant Games.
In June, Repp competed in the Transplant Games, earning medals in the 18-to-29 age group in singles and doubles golf, table tennis, darts and darts cricket.
As a 14-year-old, Repp seemed to be living a normal life, playing sports and enjoying his teen years, until he began having migraines. After underoing tests, he was told by doctors that he needed a kidney transplant. Continue reading
