| In Memory of Cam'Ron (Source: ETMC) According to East Texas Medical Center officials, a young man who lost his life in 2015 is going to be honored during the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.

Cam'Ron Matthews died in October of 2015 after collapsing on the field during an Alto varsity football game. The Yellowjackets were playing against Carlisle when Cam'ron said in the huddle that he felt dizzy, and was airlifted to ETMC Tyler. He died the next day, a result of blunt impact to the head, according to a justice of the peace.
Cam'Ron has been remembered with great love by his hometown, who named their football field "Cam'Ron Matthews Field." Now, another memorial will be shared in Cam'Ron's memory. Continue reading
