Giving back even in death; Collin Rose was an organ donor

In between two young men chatting at the bar and a handful of couples enjoying their growlers, there was a noticeable absence Sunday evening at Baffin Brewing Company in St. Clair Shores.

Missing from the brewery on Jefferson Avenue were Collin Rose and his law enforcement buddies, who normally would be relaxing inside over a couple of beers and a game of Quizzo trivia.

“Just about every Sunday, they’d be hanging out in here and talking,” said Baffin Brewing Company co-owner Joe VanderMarliere.

But this past Sunday, family, friends and colleagues of Rose were preparing to bid farewell to him. Continue reading
