More than 80 serving and former charity and voluntary sector staff receive medals in New Year honours list, along with hundreds of community volunteers
Angela Rippon receives a CBE for her work in dementia care, as charity professionals and volunteers are celebrated in the 2017 New Year honours list.
Rippon was previously made an OBE in 2004 for her services to broadcasting, charity and the arts, but this CBE recognises her more recent work as a development lead for the community engagement programme Dementia Friendly Communities.
