NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - New Orleans Saints superfan Jarrius “Little JJ” Robertson stopped by Ochsner Hospital today to promote organ donation.
Robertson, who is on the waiting list for a new liver, suffers from biliary atresia, a chronic liver disease.
On a recent trip to Good Morning America, Robertson told host Robin Roberts “it takes lives to save lives.”
Ochsner is home to the only pediatric transplant center in the state, facilitating over 600 organ transplants and 400 tissue donations in 2015.
Over 2,000 people are on a waiting list for a new organ in the state of Louisiana, while over 120,000 are waiting nationwide.
