Its hard to get your emails open. One thing worth trying: truly unusually subject lines, as described at My Emma: 3 risky tactics to try in your next email.

Risky? Maybe. But how much more risky than getting the same old low open rates?

  1. Use a wacky subject line. (Don't even try to be relevant. Just be weird. You make break through the clutter.)
  2. Be vague -- very vague.
  3. Change your "from" name. (Make is a person's name. Or even use it to reinforce the message, as in, savethebats@organization.org.)
