We have helped the Children’s Society to redevelop its blog and increase traffic. Here’s how we did it

Over the last year, we have been working with the Children’s Society to redevelop its blog. During this time, the charity’s website traffic has significantly increased, exit and bounce rates have been reduced, and its social media audience has increased by 40%. Here’s what we learned.

Set measurable goals based on the data: the Children’s Society’s analytics showed us how important blog readers are to the organisation. Readers are more likely to support the charity’s work, visit more pages, spend more time on the website, and are likely to have arrived by way of social media. Yet at the beginning of last year the Children’s Society was experiencing high bounce and exit rates among new users. With this in mind, we set three key targets for the blog redevelopment:
