During the holidays, we're always thinking of ways to give to others, but counties across New York state want people to sign up to give the gift of life.
The Jefferson County Clerk's office took in about 140 applicants during its two-week "Donate for Life" campaign.
Some workers at the Jefferson County Department of Motor Vehicles have a special connection to organ donations.
"My husband had a kidney transplant 14 years ago, so it's just really important," Laure Silver said. "Not only kidneys, but hearts and lungs."
"My fiancé has had two kidney transplants and without those transplants, he wouldn't be here today," Nicole Tubolino said. Continue reading, VIDEO
