LORENA, Texas (KWTX) At the beginning of August, Randy Williams was searching for kidney donors using car stickers.
Now, he is the survivor of a successful kidney transplant.
After seeing his story on KWTX, Kathy Knapp, a local woman who had never met Williams, decided to get tested.
"And she said, I just went to bed that night and woke up the next morning, and she said, God was talking to me, that, you know, I need to give Randy a kidney," Williams said.
Williams’ transplant coordinators said he had about 20 interested donors, but by the end of September, only one person was still a candidate.
