Thanks to a successful liver transplant, and a fearce determination, she is back on the court and looking forward to this weekend’s matches against Utah (Friday) and Colorado (Sunday).

In early June of 2015 Savannah came home from a night of playing volleyball with a bad headache and some nausea. She eventually developed a 103-degree fever that rose to 105 by the next day. With abdominal pain and no appetite, she made multiple trips to urgent care before being admitted to the hospital for 8 days.
Twelve doctors including a liver specialist administered test after test as Rennie's liver rapidly expanded in size, but none could come to a diagnosis.
