Wheeling, W.Va. - Back in December, Russell Teramana went to the doctor for an ordinary check-up. The next day, his doctor called to tell him something no one wants to hear: he was in stage five kidney failure and would need a kidney transplant within the next year.
That is when his wife, Roseann, stepped up to the plate.
"When we were told that he needed a kidney, I just automatically said that I would be tested. I never gave it a second thought, and I really truly believe that I was called to do this for him," said Roseann.
Roseann was tested and she was a match, but organ transplant is an expensive procedure. A few months ago, the Teramanas held a fundraiser that helped them cover some of the expenses.
On September 23rd, the Teramanas went under the knife, and today they are both still recovering but healthy. Continue reading
