Alexis Sloan Lee was a passionate advocate for organ donation.

She died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015. She was 32.

She was born on July 28, 1983 to Henry C. Sloan and Maxine G. Sloan in Philadelphia. She attended Ivy Leaf Elementary and Middle Schools. Her high school education includes Bishop McDevitt, Imhotep and Parkway Northwest, where she graduated and received her high school diploma.

While growing up, Lee would attend church regularly with her grandmother. Her childhood hobbies included ballet, tap and jazz. Her nickname was “Ms. Pooh” because she loved Winnie the Pooh and all stuffed animals.

She was very creative and had a passion for fashion design and modeling. She once participated in Model Search America’s pageant held in Washington, D.C. and out of 1,000 contestants, she was crowned Miss Third Runner Up. Continue reading
