PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The holidays can be a difficult time for those who have recently lost a loved one.

Bay Medical is continuing a tradition to help families with that loss.

Thursday night was the lighting for the hospital's "Tree of Life."

Family members created ornaments and other decorations before hanging them on a tree and sharing a short message about their loved one.

One family was Maureen Dempsey and her two daughters, Stephanie and Elanor. They lost their husband and father, Ted Dempsey, who died after a car crash more than a year ago. Continue reading
